This is actually one of the questions we ask our customers in our first interview. It is known that at this moment the market is a sellers market.
The normal answer we get is actually a question: what makes us different than a realtor? Fair enough. Some of the differences are:
- We buy as is (typical – you hear it from every other “buy houses” company)
- We buy cash with a fast closing (typical – you hear it from every other “buy houses” company)
- We close fast (typical – you hear it from every other “buy houses” company)
- We know how to negotiate with financial institutions: not so typical. Many people do not know that there are strategies to reduce what a financial institution may want to release a property. Why does this matter to you? Because whatever difference we negotiate goes into your pocket.
- We know how to structure creative win/win deals. This month example: single mother of 2 walked out the closing with a one year lease on an apartment additionally to cash. This will give her enough time to get back on her feet.
We actually work with a network of realtors with who we refer business in both directions. If we consider that the best option for our client is to sell in the retail market, we put them in contact with a reputable realtor. At the same time, some situations that come to realtors’ desks require additional work (such as coordinating a probate sale).
