The time has come. Interest rates have hiked in the last 3 months more than what they had done in several of the previous years. So the money is more expensive. This combined with the diminished affordability of housing created by the high demand / low inventory of previous years has made the American dream of having a house unattainable for many families. Not to mention the rampant inflation and the current job loss in many areas of the country.
As much as this is painful for everyone, it is a much needed correction. This will balance the offer and demand in real estate.
